Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

The order of Christian initiation is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God, and enter the way of faith and conversion, as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts.  By God's help, they will be strengthened, spiritually, during their preparation, and at the proper time, they will receive the sacraments fruitfully.

This rite includes the celebration of the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and Eucharist.  Unbaptized and baptized, but previously un-catechized, adults celebrate the full communion of the Catholic Church, through inquiry and maturing, purification and enlightenment, and evangelization and celebration of Christian initiation, at Easter Vigil.  It is a time for deepening the Christian experience for spiritual growth and for entering more fully into the life and unity of the Catholic community.

All adult inquiries regarding the OCIA program can be forwarded to Suzanne Narajka, Adult Faith Formation Coordinator  by phone, 203-269-8791, or by email, ocia@mhtwallingford.org.

You’re Invited to a Special Celebration!

Evening of prayer, reflection, and community honoring Our Lady of Fatima,

🌼e invite all children as a sign of devotion—especially those who recently received their First Communion—to wear their First Communion outfits ad bring flowers to offer to our Blessed Mother. Offering flowers is a cherished tradition that expresses our reverence, innocence, and childlike love for Mary.
