Sacraments
  • RECONCILIATION: Saturday, 2:30 PM  - Christ speaks often of God’s forgiveness, but He also reminds us that God uses human beings and bestows His grace through them.  Thus he desires us to confess our sins to the church and to receive sacramental absolution through the priest. (Catechism #1457)
  • BAPTISM: First and third Sunday of the month at 1:30 PM. Prior to birth of child expectant parents are to enroll in the Pre-Baptismal Program. Call the rectory for further information. For more detailed information, click here.
  • BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASS: Baptism classes help prepare first time parents (and others) for bringing their child up in the faith. Classes are held on the last Wednesday of each month (with the exception of December) in the Church. Parents or soon-to-be-parents wishing to attend a class must call the rectory to register, 203-269-8791, and must register as MEMBERS OF MOST HOLY TRINITY PARISH.
  • SPONSOR CERTIFICATES: Those seeking a sponsor certificate must be Catholics in good standing; registered with the parish and using the envelope system for at least three months.
  • MARRIAGE: Contact the Parish Office 6 months in advance. All couples need to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the Catholic Church before living together. Civil marriages are not sacramental and are not recognized as marriages by the Church.

God has created man and woman for each other, and it is a blessing when a man and a woman make the gift of a commitment to each other.  However, no relationship is complete if God is not a part of it.  Christ, Who performed his first miracle at a wedding, instituted the Sacrament of Marriage so that the institution of marriage might be elevated to become a sign of Christ’s love for His Church and to be a true exchange of love.  Christ desires that couples receive the Sacrament of Marriage, and so benefit from God’s presence in their relationship. (Catechism #1613, #1616)

  • SACRAMENT OF THE SICK:  Contact the Parish Office at 203-269-8791.

St. James tells us, “If there are any sick among you, let them send for the priests of the Church and let the priests pray over them, anointing them in the name of the Lord.  The prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and if they have committed any sins, their sins will be forgiven them.”   We encourage all our parishioners who have made their first communion to be anointed when they begin to be in danger of death, that is at the onset of a serious illness or infirmity, for the Sacrament of Anointing is a sacrament of the sick, not of the dying. (Catechism #1514)
